OfficeTeam is seeking a Facility Coordinator for one of Irvine's largest technology firms! This is a permanent opportunity looking to start as soon as possible.

As the Facility Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting all departments within the organization with troubleshooting, set up and maintain Xerox equipment and handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages for multiple departments. The ideal Facility Coordinator is dedicated, experienced and are devoted to making their teams successful.

Requirements

  • 1 year of previous office assistant experience

  • Preferable to have FedEx and UPS experience but not required

BDI Surgery's Woburn, Massachusetts manufacturing facility manufactures hemostasis products, hernia and abdominal wall repair products. The facility also manufactures biological odor eliminators and creams/gels for BDI Interventional's Urology & Critical Care business unit, which is used primarily in hospitals and nursing homes. Summary of Position with General Responsibilities The position of EH&S Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining records that are applicable to Federal and State Environmental, Health and Safety standards and regulations as well as compliance with internal company standards. Essential Job Functions * Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, assist in the establishment and maintenance of facilities documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state & corporate requirements. * Review and revise existing BARD procedures to maintain compliance with corporate standard procedures. * Partner with internal document control to release revised documentation to employees. * Participate in internal and external audits. * Oversee the storage, compliance and disposal of chemicals. * Manage EH&S Responsibilities * Responsible for developing HAZ COM/Bloodborne Pathogen and Slip Trip and Fall programs and training. * Conduct safety meetings on a Quarterly basis. * Responsible for ensuring inspection and testing of all fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, eye wash stations, safety showers and other safety equipment. * Ensure that all facility occupants are familiar with emergency procedures by verifying compliance with training programs. * Work with Plant Manager to ensure compliance with regulating bodies to include: FDA, OSHA, EPA, Corporate, and Divisional procedures, standards, and regulations. * Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications * Associates degree with a minimum of five years EH&S experience. * Must be proficient in policy development and training presentation. * In depth knowledge of EH&S compliance requirements on state & federal levels. * Knowledgeable of OSHA standards including fire protection systems, emergency response programs, safety committee and audit programs. * Good interpersonal and teamwork skills combined with good written communication skills. * PC skills (word processing, electronic spreadsheet, E-mail) Physical Demands * Physical demand - the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
