Facility Attendant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety and the courteous and consistent enforcement of policies, rules, and procedures at the Community Center during facility rentals and programs.

• Greets and assists visitors/callers at the Community Center.

• Assists in setup/takedown of recreational programs at the Community Center.

• Responsible for securing the building, refilling general building supplies, and garbage removal when needed.

• Completes assigned projects from administrative staff.

• Answers inquiries on Community Center rentals and available dates. Assists with completion of appropriate rental paperwork.

Required Skills/Education/Experience

• Must possess valid American Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certificate by employment start date or obtain one by then (We will train and certify).

• Ability to maintain working relationships with Staff

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Skills/Education/Experience

• HS graduate or GED certificate required

• Ability to work independently or with a partner assertively

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Customer service skills

• Must have general computer skills (Microsoft Office and internet navigating)

• Must be able to enforce rules

Hours & Pay Range: Wage for the position is $20.00 per hour. All applicants must have flexible schedules. Facility Attendants are only utilized when the facility is rented or programs are running. Schedules are very flexible and there are no set hours for this position. Residency is not required for this position. This is not a supervisory position.
