Facilities & Maintenance Technician

The incumbent is responsible for repair and maintenance of the RTE Facilities equipment, Includes air compressors, Wet scrubbers, DI/RO water system, HVAC , RTU , electrical, and associated systems and equipment. May be required to perform plant-operating duties as directed by management.

Essential Functions:

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs Pumps, RTU, Wet scrubbers, 480 Volt AC motors, vacuum pump and General Facilities support equipment.

• Maintains a schedule and performs daily Inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance of systems at the Water Plant, Scrubbers and facilities support equipment.

• Maintains records of supplies, parts and materials used.

• Maintains operational equipment including plumbing, electrical equipment and electrical control panels.

• Order materials and parts to keep plant in operation.

• Support on Environment and Safety programs that comply with federal, state and local safety laws.

• Required to assist when needed at Cleanroom plant, water plant, or assist with on call coverage in the departments.

• Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.

• Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.

• Interacts professionally and respectfully with coworkers and others in the course of daily work.

• Able to maintain a clean and organized work area that will be assigned.

• Performs work involved in the cleaning and care of the buildings and facilities, Building and grounds repairs, PVC Plumbing included.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

Minimum 4 year of experience in operation and maintenance/repair of Facilities, Buildings and grounds, Waste water treatment and/or Manufacturing of any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Must pass a National criminal background check and drug screen.

Work Schedule:

Day Shift

Sunday/Wednesday 10 hrs shift. (40 hrs week)

Wednesday to Saturday 10 hrs shift.(40 hrs week)

Working Conditions:

Work is performed both in Facilities shop and outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to controlled and hazardous substances, gases and chemicals.

Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, steel-toe boots, back support belts, and seat belts are provided and must be worn as required by department procedures and good safety practices.
