Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an exceptionally skilled Facilities Technician III to join our team in Plainville. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our world-class facilities and ensuring flawless operations.

Responsibilities:
Perform preventative, routine, and non-routine maintenance on facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Document all work on validated systems, including equipment logs, readings, and alarm investigations, to maintain accurate records.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure consistency and adherence to safety regulations.
Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities to address any urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.
Investigate equipment failures and serve as a system expert for troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
Maintain compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Conducts thorough rounds of building utility areas, grounds, and machinery spaces.
Ensures contractor compliance with EHS policies and procedures, including hot work and lock out tag out procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Facilities Technician or similar role, demonstrating the ability to successfully implement maintenance and repair tasks.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, water generation, and plumbing systems to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly determine root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring efficient and effective completion of tasks.
Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures to maintain the integrity of the facilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and maintain positive working relationships.
