FirstService Residential is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician for a community in the greater Raleigh, NC Area

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain an attractive, safe and pleasing environment for residents, perform routine maintenance in the common areas.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Receive and complete work orders as distributed by Community Managers or supervisors.

  • Track and maintain hours, materials, costs, and paperwork for payroll and billing purposes.

  • Report back to Community Manager or supervisor regarding status of work.

  • Safely utilize company vehicle for work related travel.

  • Rotate on 24 hour call service.

  • Report unusual and irregular conditions to the Community Manager for possible new work orders.

  • Maintain cordial, professional manner in dealing with residents, contractors, Management, etc.

  • Assist in maintaining all equipment, supplies and materials in functional working condition in a neat and orderly manner.

Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Technical background from university or vocational sources a plus.

  • Minimum 1- 3 years experience in general grounds or buildings maintenance.

  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry trades. Must be able to operate tools and equipment related to facility maintenance.

  • Must have and maintain clean driving record, and be able to pass background check.

The Chief Operating Officer position is a direct report to the Director, Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF) and assists in strategic planning and directing the key operational activities within the Division to meet its goals and objectives, and assure effective organizational policies for managing the Division's budget and achieving optimal access to care through continuously improving organizational performance. Job responsibilities include the following: * Serve as the lead on the Executive Leadership Team of DSOHF for operations and all cross-facility issues * Serve as the primary point of contact for the Department when the DSOHF Director is not available, and serve as backup to the DSOHF Director for external meetings * Supervise the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, the Utilization Management Coordinator, the Data Management Lead, Recruitment Specialist and the Advocacy Department * Lead strategic planning for the Division and monitor the overall Division performance metrics and best practices to ensure that the Division provides quality, efficient and innovative treatment/habilitation services to the NC population * Provide oversight and monitor the use of the Division-wide budget in order to meet DSOHF's goals * Negotiate and oversee compliance with managed care contracts; ensure maximization of receipts * Provide oversight of DSOHF revenue cycle in partnership with support services * Create and oversee Division's training and professional development plan * Own the creation of and/or oversee the implementation of all new and/or updated division corporate policies and procedures * Translate Department and Division goals into unit goals; support teams to advance priorities and calibrate resources accordingly * Serve as the Governing Body designee when the DSOHF Director is not available, and has signature authority when needed * Serve as a leader in DHHS providing Department expertise on facility services and behavioral health treatment Salary Grade GN18 Position #60047071 About the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF): DSOHF serves as a leader in the provision of treatment and habilitation services to the citizens of North Carolina. DSOHF Central Administration oversees more than 10,000 state employees who serve individuals with the most complex mental health, developmental disabilities and substance use treatment needs. Through the provision of state-wide inpatient and residential services safety-net services, the state operated healthcare facilities serve more than 3,000 individuals daily with fully integrated, state of the art medical, psychiatric, habilitation and treatment services. DSOHF central administration is the state-wide system corporate office. It is committed to providing exceptional care and focusing on continuous improvement for all employees and the individuals we serve. DSOHF Central administration provides fiscal and programmatic oversight, research, development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the 3 psychiatric hospitals, 3 developmental centers, 3 alcohol and drug abuse treatment centers, 2 residential schools, and 3 neuro-medical treatment centers.
