Job Summary

$500 SIGN ON BONUS & $500 BONUS AFTER 6 MONTHS

Performs a variety of maintenance duties in a hospital setting. This is a Tuesday- Saturday 7:30am - 4:00pm shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting equipment sets, replacing plumbing fixtures, rodding drains and pipes, identifying and stopping leaks, rebuilding flush valves.

  • Supervising and making adjustments to the building automation system for patient/staff comfort.

  • Generator testing and inspections, replacing light fixtures and light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles and responding to general building issues.

  • Using drawings, wiring diagrams, operations & maintenance manuals for troubleshooting, diagnosing and making repairs.

  • Coordinating specialized work with vendors and contractors.

  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks on the emergency power system, emergency lighting, ice machines and refrigerators, HVAC equipment and other building systems as assigned.

  • Conduct building and mechanical room inspections in accordance with maintenance program.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician preferred.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.

  • Driver's license and clean driving record required.

  • Experience with Building Automation Systems.

  • Experience with computerized work order systems preferred.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria * Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures * Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality * Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. * Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls * Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care * Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures * Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary * Assist with processing of specimens when needed * Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Requirements: * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements * Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required for Technologist level * Previous experience is not required at the Technologist Trainee level * ASCP or AMT certification is preferred * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus * High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills * Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen * Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs * Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs.
