Assist the Service & Facilities Manager or the Assistant Service & Facilities Manager in a complete management program to maintain all company operated facilities to an established standard to project an excellent brand image to our customers & team members.

What we are looking for

• Two-year college degree or equivalent formal education and field experience in facility repair and services including electric, plumbing, kitchen equipment, blueprint interpretation, sheet metal, purchasing, drain cleaning, welding, tile work, and carpentry;

• Must have EPA Refrigeration Certification Types I & II for HVAC&R;

• Knowledge of the following:

o Commercial property - building and site maintenance management;

o All building maintenance procedures and accepted practices;

o All building equipment - including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and

fixture;

o Facilities management for office/warehouse buildings and restaurants;

o Building codes and standards;

o Company Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) procedures;

o Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.

• Ability to make decisions on repair or replacement based on troubleshooting skills, while still meeting deadlines;

• Knowledge and capability to deal with after hours (24/7) calls when there are limited resources to assist in making emergency repairs;

• Good communication skills with both White Castle team members and outside providers;

• Must have mechanical abilities and be able to use various hand tools;

• Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds, work for extended hours of uninterrupted time, and withstand adverse weather and site conditions for any assigned job site inspections;

• Possess a valid driver's license, and have the ability to travel throughout the assigned regions.

What you will do

• Day to day supervision of service department staff. Secondary responsibility for the building and equipment maintenance of the regional storage facility and restaurants;

• Counsel and advise regional service department, regional management, and contractors/vendors in all matters relative to facility management;

• Manage contracted vendors providing facility maintenance and service work as assigned;

• Select qualified contractors and vendors and manage the solicitation process;

• Select, develop & motivate service department team members;

• Review and approve facility invoices and purchase orders as assigned;

• Manage the work order request software system;

• Assist the Service & Facilities Manager with preparing, submitting, executing and monitoring the budget process for regional budget related to the Construction and Facilities Department responsibilities;

• Evaluate and make recommendations for developing or revising building specifications for all types of facility maintenance;

• Coordinate environmental issues with upper management to follow all government guidelines and regulations;

• Implement and manage inventory procedures for service department parts and supplies;

• Assist with obtaining proposals, invoicing and scheduling construction contractors as requested.
