This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of support employees in Facilities, including skilled traders, maintenance employees and security personnel at multiple sites. Sets day-to-day goals, and oversees planning and scheduling of facilities maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages general maintenance employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment to ensure operational objectives are met.

  • Manages security personnel at multiple sites and determines and implements building security, safety protocols and organization or government restrictions, to ensure security and safety aspects are maintained.

  • Oversees planning, organizing, and scheduling for maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of the facilities to ensure upkeep of the facilities.

  • Plans, designs, and reconfigures equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities.

  • Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.

  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

  • Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.

  • Conducts machine inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment.

  • Manages facilities contractor management process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a team of maintenance / facilities employees

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work "on-call"

  • Strong computer skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.

The ideal candidate(s) will possess commercial or industrial experience and a mechanical aptitude. In addition, the ideal candidate(s) will also have a background, experience and certification in a skill trade, HVAC repair, or industrial equipment preventative maintenance. Job Skills / Requirements The following essential functions include, but are not limited to: * Perform routine electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, architectural features/finishes and systems' maintenance for the facility to the client's standards. * Provide quality maintenance services in all trades - HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry. * Read and interpret schematics and building plans and have a strong electrical background. * Approach work with a "safety first" attitude by following all safety practices, policies, and procedures. * Ensure the proper maintenance and organization of all equipment. * Schedule arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment to avoid service disruptions. * Must be able to crouch, crawl, climb, access tight and confined spaces, and work under and around small and high spaces using the proper personal protective equipment. * Must follow all company safety processes and procedures. * Must be able to complete assignments in a timely manner and be accountable for the quality of the work product. * Must be willing and able to follow outlined checklists, maintenance procedures and task lists. * Must be willing to accept supervision and conform to ERMC core values while developing consistent interpersonal relationship skills with staff, the customer, tenants, contractors, mall patrons, and all other components of the facility. * Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
