Facilities Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the facilities maintenance team.

• Ensure the proper functioning of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.

• Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs, as well as coordinate with external contractors when necessary.

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues or safety hazards.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.

• Manage inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment and oversee the ordering and stocking of necessary materials.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.

• Train and mentor facilities staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, and implement appropriate solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.

• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.

• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between different facilities as needed.
