SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Supervisor is the core driver of ensuring the dealership is a safe, clean working environment for all employees and customers. This leadership role is critical in the selection, training, staffing, and coaching of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met and exceeds company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Leads and mentors housekeeping and grounds keeper staff daily to ensure cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded.
Ensures all showrooms, offices, customer waiting lounges, workshop, lunchrooms, grounds, parking lots, are cleaned in a timely manner; and communicates issues and discrepancies with HSE Manager.
Order supplies and equipment for the department based on forecasting for the monthly inventory.
Work collaboratively with other managers and teams to analyze and improve work processes.
Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to staff when necessary.
Understands and champions Atkins Kroll, Inc. policies and procedures, and collaborates with Housekeeping team in performance management of the department.
Arranges, schedules staff work schedules, insuring staffing level are covered during staff outages and or company events.
Participates in the development and execution of training programs for new hires as well as ongoing training for housekeeping / ground staff.
Creates and schedules daily assignments, daily and weekly projects, and optimizes staff to ensure dealership lodge cleanliness and performance.
Conducts daily stand up meetings with team in order to prioritize the day and facilitates feedback from staff. Escalates feedback to leadership.
Inspects all offices, showrooms, lunchrooms, customer service lounges, workshops, parking lots for cleanliness, damage, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control, and reviews results with team; coaches and drives accountability and performance improvement.
Ensures storage rooms, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts are clean, organized, and properly inventoried for the next day's activities; ensures and promotes safety standards in these areas.
Supervises activities of staff and area to ensure compliance with AK standards, including the management of time and attendance.
Participates in recruitment process and selection of talent for the housekeeping/ ground staff.
Carries out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
Maintains professional appearance, neat and organized work area.
Reports to work on time every day as scheduled.
Attends department meetings.
Procure and monitor Facilities and Housekeeping expenses. Proficiency in Excel is required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Experience
3-5 years experience in a Rooms Division supervisor or similar supervisor position
Hospitality or housekeeping experience
Licensure
Valid Guam Driver's license
