JOB SUMMARY Oversees and coordinates daily activities in new construction, renovations, routine maintenance, and preventative maintenance activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Briefs Maintenance Manager daily, relating facts, questions and other necessary information pertinent to the successful operation of the facilities department.

  • Coordinates with other departments for special projects, work requests, and work assignments. Supervises a designated crew in performance of daily work duties and assists as needed to insure timely completion.

  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers, fellow team members, vendors, and the general public.

  • Directly supervises shift team members in the Maintenance Department.

  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • 1+year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.


  • Frequent standing, walking, use hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Able to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • The team member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, variable indoor temperatures, smoke, lighting and noise levels.

VIEW JOBS 3/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-20T00:00 Position Summary Benefits Supplemental Questions HVAC-R MECHANIC Facilities Management Full Time Primary Responsibilities * Troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all campus HVAC mechanical systems; systems include but not limited to (VAV, CAV, Multi-zone and Dual Duct) air handling unit systems, chilled water systems, boiler (hot water) and steam heating systems, rooftop packaged D/X systems, etc. * Troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all campus control systems; systems include DDC (Siemens APOGEE, Johnson METASYS, INVENSYS) and pneumatic controls * Work with teams in the performance of the equipment preventative maintenance program * Provide assistance to the other trades as needed * Perform on call duties on a rotating basis Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * Possession of valid driver license * Must live within 30 minutes travel time from the University * Experience with HVAC systems in an educational, industrial or commercial setting * Experience in the operation and maintenance of large chiller plant systems that serve a multitude of facilities * Experience in the operation and maintenance of heating hot water boiler systems * Experience in the operation and maintenance of steam heat exchanger systems * Experience in the operation and maintenance of all types of air handling unit systems * Ability to work with voltages up to 480 volts * Ability to read and work from blueprints and electrical schematics * Ability to work with testing equipment (volt/ohm/amp meters, air balancing equipment, etc.) * Ability to work in extreme temperatures, damp or wet conditions, bio-hazardous materials and chemicals, fumes, dust, elevated noise levels, and the use of personal protective equipment * Ability to work at heights up to 150 ft. that exist on campus with or without accommodations * Ability to work in close and confined spaces for extended periods of time * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service * Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities Required Information & Deadline: To Apply: The deadline to submit applications is April 5, 2019.
