POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Serve the campus community in the capacity determined by the Director. Responsibilities could include:

  • General Maintenance

  • General Housekeeping

  • General Grounds Care

  • Assist where needed within Facilities Services

  • Adhere to any safety regulations and standards spelled out in the IWU safety policy.

  • Comply with any processes and procedures established by Facilities management and or Indiana Wesleyan University administration.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Director of Facilities Services

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma

Duties and responsibilities include collaborating with instructional designers, subject matter experts, courseware providers, and media or e-learning developers to build high-quality courses in the IWU LMS. NOTE: This position is a part-time temporary role for up to 6 months and 20-30 hours per week. Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Director of Learning and Innovation Education Requirements: Earned Bachelor's degree, certificate in instructional design, or >5 years experience in instructional design or educational development. Duties and Responsibilities: * Provides formatting, editing, and technical support to contributors of course content. * Assists in the improvement of courses through minor or intermediate revisions. * Using subject matter expert resources, develops course content, either directly in the LMS or through the use of e-learning software. * Applies adult learning theory, Quality Matters (QM), and institutional standards to the development of courses and course e-learning assets. * Communicates in a timely and professional manner with subject matter experts, academic unit curriculum specialists, and project managers as needed. * Responds to data to improve effectiveness. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement. Experience and skills: * Possesses strong skills in Microsoft Office, some skill in HTML/CSS, and has the ability to troubleshoot formatting and embedded media errors. * Has experience creating or maintaining online courseware or website content. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. * Demonstrated ability to deliver quality work on time.
