Overview

The Facilities Project Manager provides start-to-finish project management for a wide variety of tenant improvement projects. Specifically, this person is responsible for identifying the skills needed for projects; helping to define the project budget and allocate resources; participating in the selection and negotiation of contractors; and has primary responsibility for transforming external and internal ideas into concrete, technical solutions. Collaborating closely with facility management and program management, this role ensures that the overall development and implementation of every project is completed to the highest standard and meets or exceeds client expectations.

Who We're Looking For:

You are a dynamic leader with deep roots in the construction industry; a strong appreciation for design; excellent communication skills; and a passion for delivering beautiful, functional, high-performance environments. Your primary responsibility is overseeing projects from start to finish.

This begins with working with internal and external clients to ensure you understand the project requirements, scope and vision. You'll then be responsible for generating the schedule and working with the team to create a budget and allocate resources; matching the right talent to the job; collaborating with the architect or GC to ensure the feasibility of the project; preparing and submitting cost estimates to the client; establishing effective communication over the course of the project with all relevant stakeholders; and participating in project review. You'll conclude each project by conducting the post-project evaluation.

On any given day, you may find yourself negotiating with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors; meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues; preparing status reports; attending on-site meetings; processing change orders; and/or working with internal team members to determine and refine scope, budget and resources. At all times, you will serve as a TEAGUE ambassador by being a strong steward of company values and mission. What We Just Said, Now in 5 Bullet Points (a.k.a., Essential Qualifications):

  • Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Construction/Engineering or related field of study; 5+ years of commercial construction experience with projects up to $5 million; experience with manufacturing related projects as well as corporate or customer facing sites; strong track record with working with local building officials; acute understanding of risk management policies and procedures; extensive experience managing budgets for commercial construction projects

  • Skills:
    Superior time and project management skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build trust, as well as mentor peers; excellent team communication and collaboration skills; experience with AutoCAD and Revit for building design development and construction sets; Sketch-Up, Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint skills for building digital presentations; strong established relationships with GC's and subcontractors in the Greater Seattle area; proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project; ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets; strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment Passion: Working collaboratively to find and execute solutions to complex building projects

  • Role: A key member of the facilities team who oversees and guides projects from start to finish

  • Personality: Strong interpersonal skills; solution-oriented; flexible; creative, passionate about your work and delivering results
