Overview

We are hiring a Facilities Project Manager. The Facilities Project Manager will assist with design, obtain regulatory approval, and manage the modification of existing facilities and construction of the facilities.

Responsibilities

  • This Project Manager will be responsible for the successful completion of variety sizes of the projects with high stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Manage project delivery from feasibility study to development and planning through construction, closeout, and turnover.

  • Plan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate activities of several disciplines in compliance with program, design, quality, and technical requirements.

  • Develop and track schedules, including critical path activity management, fast track approaches and schedule updates as required.

  • Knowledgeable with Fire, City and Building codes and capable to deal with City and Fire department as needed.

  • Develop and track budgets, including committed costs and final cost projections.

  • Manage all aspects of a project, including document controls, weekly meetings, jobsite observations, site logistics, quality control, budget analysis, contractor coordination, and risk management.

  • Report on project status, schedule, and financials to management weekly and as needed with recommendations for correction action as required.

  • Prepare project schedule, project report, feasibility study, and URS.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors, consultants, vendors, and public agency employees.

  • Communicate with clients, executives, and major stakeholders, both orally and in writing.

  • Maintain accurate files and manage record documents.

  • Promote safe work environments.

  • Lead, collaborate on, and participate in duties and responsibilities relation to the broader goals and objectives of the Facilities, Maintenance & Administration teams.

  • Manage projects include, but not limited to: Facilities, Heating and Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) System, Electrical System, and Water Systems.

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering required.

  • 3+ years' of managing multiple aspects of the planning, design, budget, renovation, and installation processes in construction and renovation of facilities. These include, but not limited to the development and management of capital improvement projects, planning, organization, and coordination of construction design and engineering, bidding and project implementation.

  • Knowledge on electrical system, HVAC system, Water for Injection (WFI) and Reverse Osmosis Deionized (RODI) Water Systems are required.

  • American Society of Quality Six Sigma Certification is a plus.

  • Project Management Institute Professional Management Certification preferred.

  • Administration Certification is a plus.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical, mechanical diagrams and equipment manuals.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum.

  • Skills to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project are required.

  • Understand project management principles: process groups and knowledge areas.

  • Experience in writing Project Charter, Project Management Plan, User Requirement Specifications, and progress reports.

  • Skills on Work Break Down Structure, Schedule Development and Control, Budget Determination and Control, Communication Management, Risk Mitigation and Stakeholder Engagement.

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $98,300 to $178,000 annually depending on experience.

Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
