Renovation Services Full/Part Time: FullTime


Responsible for project management and coordination of multiple renovations, major maintenance, and new construction projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with internal/external design professionals, internal workforce and external subcontractors/workforce to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the University's standard of quality and safety.

Maintain awareness of project safety concerns and compliance with University and OSHA requirements. Maintain construction documentation including Change Orders, RFI's and ensure as-built completion and timely project close-out. Communicate regularly with customers, owners and end users.

This position will work Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This job will be filled as a level 4, or level 5, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Management or related discipline or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 4.

Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. OSHA 30-hour Certification, knowledge of building mechanical, electrical and architectural systems, and CPM scheduling knowledge are preferred. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. The role requires an extremely organized individual who displays a high level of professionalism and the ability to perform a wide variety of complex project, research, and management functions in a demanding and exciting team-oriented office environment. Project duties include but are not limited to: conduct benchmarking; develop executive-level presentations, and white papers; create and manage high-level advisory boards and committees including correspondence with PSU and external executives; coordinate ICS involvement in faculty Co-hire searches and evaluations; and manage internal investment programs, such as seed grants. As the lead of the ICS administrative team, additional duties are: establish and assign schedules, priorities, processes and procedures, and goals; oversee hiring, training, and evaluations; provide HR representative services through WorkLion; and supervise procurement in eBuy and financial transactions in IBIS including confidential proxy responsibilities. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree or higher within science or technology fields is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, organized with attention to detail and accuracy, and possess the ability to prioritize tasks. A high commitment to customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction is a must. Proficiency is required in standard computer applications and programs, email, calendaring and file management. The successful candidate must be able to exercise discretion and use excellent judgement while managing confidential information.
