Boeing Defense Space and Security has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist to support research and development efforts for their Heath, Ohio facility.

Position Responsibilities:

The candidate will be required to primarily perform electrical job tasks as well as some mechanical tasks within a multi-craft trade's team. Responsibilities are mainly associated with construction, repair and maintenance of building and equipment systems as well as other production support tasks as required. Ability to work at various heights and with personal lifts.

  • Under general supervision, provides general support in response to routine trouble calls. Demonstrated understanding of customer service concepts.

  • Under general supervision, demonstrates increased skill level in the repair and maintenance of plant and office facilities.

  • Uses power tools under general supervision.

  • Under general supervision, uses hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have experience using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents, written information, verbal information, applicable procedures, codes and ordinances

  • Must have experience working with electrical codes, building mechanical codes and commercial construction interpreting highly complex drawings, schematics and equipment manuals

  • Must have experience with facility/plant repair and maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 3 years working in the electrical field/trade with voltages greater than 300VAC

  • Successful completion of trades related technical schooling or equivalent experience with documentation/certificate

  • Preferred experience performing jobs or tasks using computing skills such as internet navigation, email and Microsoft Office.

  • Preferred experience using electrical test equipment such as: Multimeter; O'scope and Signal Generators

Typical Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
