Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Facilities Planner II to join our Facilities Engineering, Planning and Project Management team to support occupancy and space planning demands within the northeast region.
The Facilities Planner II is responsible for maintaining accurate spatial allocation information within assigned facilities as well developing internal Raytheon consumer requirements into executable space plans that align with Company space and utilization objectives.
This role will support the Raytheon locations in Marlborough, MA and Portsmouth, RI. Based on current demand, it is anticipated that approximately 70% of the candidate's time will be spent supporting Marlborough, MA.
Partners with local HR, Finance, and leaders from tenant business areas and functions to document occupancy and space requirements and develop tactical and long term plans to support the businesses at each location
Gathers data and uses analytical skills to develop occupancy projections with associated stacking and assignment plans, graphs, pro's and con's, and recommendations
Develops space plans (typically CAD based) and finish selection for office, conference, and lab space changes and renovations
Coordinates with service partners (Facilities Engineering, IT, etc.) to develop cost estimates and proposed execution schedules
Performs scheduled field verifications for occupancy and architectural conditions within assigned location(s) and updates CAD master drawings and computer aided facility management database accordingly
Owns individual employee and group level moves/relocations process at assigned location(s)
Coordinates estimates from third party suppliers for to fullfil FF&E requirements, moving and storage services, and technology material and services. Manages the execution of external supplier scope on small to medium scale projects
Minimum 2+ years of experience in occupancy and space planning. Preference for experience in corporate mixed use office/lab environments
Demonstrated experience with developing executable occupancy and space plans to meet business objectives
Background in systems furniture specification, design, and installation strongly desired
Willingness to travel between assigned location(s) as business demands require
Excellent communicator who is comfortable presenting metrics and plans to department and functional leaders
Experience managing customer expectations
Ability to work/handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Proficient in AutoCAD 2017 or newer
Proficient in MS Office Suite Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Previous experience as a space/occupancy planner in a large, matrixed organization
Previous experience with alternative workplace strategies and associated change management
Experience with office furniture systems and specifications (Steelcase, Haworth, Herman Miller)
Proficiency with computer aided facility management software FM: Interact 8.5 or newer
Project management certification (PMI or equivalent)
Familiarity with IFMA and ANSI/BOMA standards
Familiarity with DoD Closed Area construction guidelines
Proficiency with MS Project and resource loaded schedules
Possess an active DoD Security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management or related discipline
