Job Description

Position Summary

Provide full-time Operator functions for compressor and pipeline facilities

Qualifications & Knowledge

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent

2+ years of natural gas/liquids compression, dehydration and processing operations

Able to perform duties with little or no supervision

Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or more

Able to speak fluent English and have excellent verbal and written communications skills

Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and is subject to random drug testing

Must allow pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

Ensure safe, efficient and sustainable operation of assets

Starting up, shutting down and monitoring facility equipment

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of pipeline pigging systems

Troubleshooting problems with all company assets and equipment

Ensure compliance with all relevant/required regulations/programs both internally and externally

Day to day liaison with internal and external customers

Performs housekeeping of all facilities to maintain cleanliness and general appearance to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Complete and maintain proper records

Ensuring the reliable operation of all equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, repairs and maintaining appropriate equipment inventories

Natural gas gathering and processing is an around the clock operation and incumbents are required to be reasonably available to respond to emergency and other operational needs whenever they occur

Must be available for rotating on-call schedule, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks

Overtime, weekends and/or holiday hours may be required

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Overall responsibility, supervision and direction of the statewide operations of the Oil and Gas Conservation Division; coordinates division activities with other Commission divisions. * Administers and enforces rules and orders of the Commission relating to oil and gas conservation and the prevention of pollution. * Directs and supervises the preparation and implementation of the budget for the Oil and Gas Conservation Division. * Directs the development and implementation of division operational policies and procedures; directs division compliance with agency operating policies. * Directs and supervises division personnel practices; recommends new employee selections, promotions, and other personnel actions; directs training for division employees. * Advises Commissioners regarding division operations and changes in legislation, regulations or industry trends that affect the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma. * Provides division response to inquiries and requests for information from the legislature, industry and general public. * Represents the Division and/or Commission on various advisory groups and boards and in public hearings; represents the Division in oil and gas complaint filings. * Coordinates and directs the agency's seismicity efforts * Other duties as assigned.
