Facilities Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Our Mechanical Engineers make a big impact by supporting our daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability and environmental objectives. Furthermore, colleagues will follow your lead in planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance and modifications - everything that goes into supporting Intel's most valuable manufacturing facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field

  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.
    1 year of experience:

  • Facilities HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers and compressor systems.

  • Chemical engineering principles

  • Pumps, valves, flow calculations and chemical analytical testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate tactical concepts across a wide range of employees; engineering peers to operational technicians to management.

  • Problem solving skills and demonstrate application of structured problem solving methods and tools.
