Job Summary

Thebasic function of the Mechanic is to maintain, troubleshoot, clean, inspect andrepair all mechanical equipment throughout the DC in a safe and professionalmanner.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and maintains mechanicalequipment to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.

  • Performs preventive maintenance,calibration maintenance procedures safely and professionally with minimalsupervision in accordance with Federal and State Regulations, and Company WorkRules, Policies and Procedures.

  • Initiates and completes work-ordersand requisitions, and documents all critical and or pertinent information on aroutine basis.

  • Responds and reports to work duringoff hours when emergency repairs are required.

  • Takes proactive measures to addressimprovement opportunities.

  • Assumes increased levels ofresponsibility when required or requested. Performs lesser skilled duties whenrequired or requested.

  • Identifies and effectively uses basicand precision measuring tools to perform repairs as necessary while performingmaintenance tasks on a routine basis.

  • Communicates clearly and conciselyboth verbally and in writing

  • Assists other Technicians in thecompletion of project work.

  • Anticipates typical problems,identify potential or recurring problems, and take appropriate action.Troubleshoots equipment, diagnose problems and repair.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Has workingknowledge of mechanics.

  • Trained ina classroom environment or has on the job training.

  • Able tolift 50-75lbs with ease.

Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications.
