Summary:Working closely with and reporting directly to the CEO, the Facilities Manager/Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of TRIHCI, contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment for all staff and patients. In addition, the Facilities Manager/Safety Officer is responsible for safety and safety management at TRIHCI.

The Facilities Manager/Safety Officer must be able to communicate well and be able to establish rapport with patients and their families, being sensitive to the needs of the Indian community and its cultures, traditions, and values. He/she must be familiar with the goals and objectives of TRIHCI and express a genuine enthusiasm for its success.

Duties:Responsible for training, scheduling, and supervision of custodial personnel. Ensure all staff are proficient with TRIHCI's hygienic systems and standards.

Performs custodial duties during short staffing or to facilitate completion of special projects. Oversees inventory and orders supplies, facilitates distribution of supplies and equipment to staff, assures that equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, repaired and in safe working order, troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems, and assists with linen service management as needed. Collaborates with Department Directors to ensure infection prevention and other related environmental requests.

Ensures facility-wide compliance with any applicable safety laws and regulations. Keeps informed of legal and safety updates according to applicable laws, and informs CEO, supervisors and employees of critical changes in law and regulations. Develops and oversees Safety Committee with Department Heads/Supervisors.

Manages assigned projects within all designated guidelines while keeping staff and patients safe. Coordinate and provide safety training for all employees in the areas of Safety and Fire Prevention. Oversee, administer and maintain new hire safety and mandatory training.

Works with Human Resources to develop and implement an effective plan for minimizing and reducing worker injuries. Coordinates with Human Resources regarding injury and incident investigations. Coordinates with Human Resources regarding recordkeeping for training and accidents.

Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills. Ensures all buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation. Is responsible for preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, office equipment, etc.

Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment in good working order, picks up work order requests, establishes work priority, and performs daily rounding inspection of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness. Ensures proper functioning of back-up generator, time clock, exhaust fans, water fountains, toilets and drains; balances scales and checks operation of elevators regularly. Project management; supervises and coordinates work of contractors.

Qualifications:1. Ability to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment. 2.

Possess strong organization competencies, particularly in the areas of records management, scheduling, and organizational correspondence. 3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals. 4. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, including a working knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and appropriate business document formatting. 5.

Must have the ability to work under pressure in dealing with multiple tasks and constant deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. 6. Must have good communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with diverse populations and trades. 7. Demonstrate the ability to work independently in carrying out assignments while remaining reliable and dependable. 8.

Possess the ability to organize and follow one's own work schedule (i.e. setting priorities, being available during work hours, and meeting critical deadlines). 9. Demonstrate competency and integrity to maintain confidentiality.
