Job Summary:

Manages the facilities team to support a 24-hour operation comprised of over 800 - 1600 associates in a facility from 700,000 to 2,100,000 square feet. Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the equipment, building and grounds, including but not limited to: electrical, HVAC, conveyor, power industrial equipment, life safety equipment. Coordinates with local contractors and vendors.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Manages a 24-hour maintenance staff associates across all shifts. Develops, counsels, and motivates associates and resolves associate relations issues.

  • Conducts performance appraisals, develops action plans, and monitors progress of all Associates.

  • Maintains efficiency and safety of all equipment. Monitors daily operation and directs action as needed.

  • Coordinates with Managers and Supervisors to establish priorities and schedules the workload to satisfy production needs.

  • Coordinates with local contractors for equipment and services as required. Ensures all work is permitted through the proper channels.

  • Obtains services for repair and maintenance of facility equipment.

  • Completes reports and records and performs other administrative duties as required.

  • Implement and monitor all best practices and policies for the department.

  • Manage projects within the building as needed.

  • Ensures all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines.

  • Monitors and maintains expense/project budgets for the department.

  • Strong knowledge of CMMS programs and their application.

Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree).

Associates or Bachelor's or equivalent work experience

Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages).

Strong knowledge of building codes, trade standards, general practice within the maintenance field

Strong knowledge of electricity, mechanical, construction, plumbing, and HVAC

Strong communication and organization skills

Minimum experience required to perform this job.

6 years' experience in the maintenance field, specifically supervising a large team of mechanics in a 24/7 operation

1-3-year supervisory experience

This position has a starting salary range of $90,200 - $115,200 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
