Manages all activities related to building and equipment maintenance, outside grounds upkeep, and ensures Recaro facility meets operating needs. Prepares and implements long term facility expansion to support business growth.


  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion

  • Identifies current and future maintenance requirements

  • Plans budget and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates

  • Provide direct oversight to all vendors and contractors providing building services to Recaro to ensure building meets all production requirements and building codes

  • Lead vendor/contractor for building security surveillance to ensure surveillance equipment operates effectively

  • Leads vendor/contractor for fire protection equipment to fire protection systems are regularly tested and meet fire protection code and requirements

  • Leads all maintenance and service vendors/contractors for cleaning, plumbing, electrical & Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning

  • Create and execute preventative maintenance plans for all building equipment, company vehicles, and other equipment

  • Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained and operate to standards and requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and legal regulations (especially industry specific)

  • Lead facility staff for all inside maintenance work;

  • Take an active role in partnering with Safety Program Manager on safety and environmental topics (including managing outside vendor safety concerns, waste disposal, etc.)

  • Responsible for managing and meeting the budget for the Facilities department

  • Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluations of direct reports, including performance management, identifying training needs, capacity building and succession planning.

  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes, and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management team.



  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 years of experience; or 10 years of related experience.

  • Project Management (PMP) preferred

  • Lean/Six Sigma Experience preferred

Position Responsibilities: * Partners with a Strategic Campus Planning Project Manager to oversee and execute construction projects. * Manages cost and schedule through the execution phase of construction projects * Ensures contractors employed for the project are completing tasks to a high-quality standard. * Ensures contract provisions are met. * Adheres with company safety standards and promotes a safety culture. * Ensures all work meets legal requirements and building regulations. * Works in conjunction with the Project Manager to prepare standard performance metrics and recurring status reports for internal and external stakeholders/customers * Conducts customer/stakeholder final review and acceptance. * Leads efforts to acquire authorization to occupy the building. * Coordinates building occupation. * Closes out action/punch list items, warranties, operator and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, etc. * Keep informed of all project activity to monitor project schedule and construction. * Notify Project Manager on any changes which significantly impact the project completion date, cost, or quality. * Complete all project reports accurately and in a timely manner to include Project Status Report, financial reports, and project schedules. * Participate in staff meetings to review progress of project. * Assure safety meetings and minutes thereof are documented in project files. * Perform final review of construction on projects to include: review of bid documents, review of bid procedures, review of sub/vendor qualifications, and review of final estimates, labor and material takeoffs. * Procure all materials and subcontractors for the project in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures. * Prepare and submit change orders for final approval. * Close project including submittal of all warranty information, affidavits, record drawings, final retainage payments, releases and accounting-related documents. * Review and/or price work orders and submits to accounting for final billing after client approval. * Ensure subcontractors are notified of all work order documentation. * Review subcontractor/ vendor invoices for approval/reduction/rejection. * Maintain working relationships with clients, architects and engineers associated with project. Position Qualifications: * Minimum of 10 years' experience in a construction-related field * Bachelor of Science in Construction or Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred OR experience in lieu of degree will be considered. * Excellent computer skills (Lotus, Excel, Word, Project). * Ability to meet and interact with owners and architects on a professional level. * Ability to interact with subcontractors and vendors in a business-like manner. * Understanding of financial management and analysis. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
