We are looking for a Facilities Manager to lead our team! The Facilities Manager provides leadership and direction to the facilities, plant operations, housing, and environmental services departments. The manager will plan, organize, direct, and control the following functions: planning, construction oversite, renovation and remodeling, plant operations and maintenance, and facilities engineering. In this role, the manager will develop and implement a quality improvement plan for the facilities departments. Additionally, the manager coordinates the training and orienting for new employees and ongoing training and development of the staff in the areas of oversight.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage various personnel functions including, but not limited to hiring, training, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and schedules.
  • Effectively delegates projects, work assignments, and tasks to staff with clear expectations of the desired results, explanation of the available resources, and clarification of accountability as work progresses, and clear guidelines to follow.
  • Conducts regular team meetings to assure effective communication of hospital goals and objectives, to assure effective communication within the department; provides the opportunity for feedback on work processes, provides a forum for problem resolution.
  • Monitors effective and productive use of time and optimal utilization of skills and resources.
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of hospital-wide and departmental policies and procedures and serves as a model and resource person for subordinates to ensure the conduct of business in conformance with them.
  • Plans, budgets, and supervises a preventative maintenance, servicing, repair, improvement, and replacement program for all District facilities, systems, furnishings, grounds, and medical equipment.
  • Maintains Full compliance with Title 22, OSHPD, OSHA, and Life Safety Code standards and regulations as well as all other regulatory agencies governing the activities of the departments.
  • Oversees the completion and communication of status of work orders that include: repair, servicing, and general maintenance and cleaning of hospital physical plant and equipment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to properly utilize resources necessary to assure successful operations of daily duties related to the physical plant and equipment.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in technical or business or equivalent experience required.
  • Five years minimum experience in central plant operations, mechanical systems service/repair, plumbing systems service/repair, and electrical systems service/repair required.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Two years supervisory experience required, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of and ability to read and work with blueprints preferred.
  • Must possess a valid State of California driver's license and must supply a DMV report, post-offer, pre-employment.

Job Information:

  • Full-time, varied shifts.
  • Starting wage $63.71 to $77.23 based on qualifications.
