Eagle Bend Manufacturing located in Clinton, Tennessee, just 15 minutes North of Knoxville, TN is looking for energetic self-starters who want to be a part of our growing team. Eagle Bend supplies the major auto and truck assembly locations on a JIT basis with quality chassis components, stampings and welded assemblies. We offer a very competitive total compensation and benefit program. We are hiring a Facilities Manager for our 710,000+ sq. ft. facility

Job Introduction

The Facilities Manager shall plan, organize and execute Facilities Maintenance projects including capital budget projects and a manage a program of total preventative and predictive Facilities Maintenance for the manufacturing facility

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-million dollar capital projects from planning stages through completion

  • Evaluate and select sub-contractors for equipment installations and modifications

  • Evaluate and select sub-contractors for building and grounds maintenance

  • Deliver completed projects on-time and within allotted capital budget estimates & goals

  • Ensure compliance with building and electrical codes, local ordinances and both state & federal regulations governing facility maintenance as well as best-practice protocol

  • Ensure adequate and uninterrupted utility services are available for the facility including electrical, gas/heat, water/sewer, plumbing, HVAC, communications, etc.

  • Evaluate, schedule, and prioritize facilities maintenance work orders

  • Develop and maintain total preventative and predictive plant facilities maintenance programs

  • Encourage, motivate and plan team member self-improvement and involvement

  • Lead team of technicians to perform routine and emergency repairs & maintenance tasks

  • Address safety issues concerning machine guarding, safety, and environmental issues

  • Participate in energy-reduction and cost savings measures to improve plant performance

  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities which reduce waste & maximize efficiency

  • Help manage Key Operating Indicators including Safety Performance Measurable such as Incident Rate, Audit & Inspection Results, EOS scores

  • Evaluate employee performance, maintain time & attendance records & manage employee discipline as required in accordance with the Magna Employee's Charter principles

  • Keep current with industry trends and changing regulations which affect plant operations and our compliance with building codes

  • Ensure Eagle Bend and Magna are leaders in compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Tennessee OSHA

  • Housekeeping and other activities as needed

Knowledge and Education

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • College or technical education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree

  • Skilled Trades, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree

  • Mechanical and/or technical training in industrial maintenance or related field

  • Project Management and Capital Budgeting process training & experience

Work Experience

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' general maintenance/facilities maintenance experience

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience

  • 3-5 years project management experience involving multi-million dollar capital projects

  • Thorough knowledge of bid process and managing subcontractors

  • Journeyman electrician experience

  • Millwright skills

  • Individual must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to plan and motivate team members

  • Must be technically competent to evaluate problems and provide direction

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good computer aptitude, MS Office programs, MS Project

  • Delegation and supervisory abilities required

  • Ability to work additional hours as required, including being available or on-call virtually 24 hours a day

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. may be required

  • Loud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment as required

Additional Information

Travel Requirements - Occasional travel with overnight stay may be required, however travel will be very minimal

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to client inquires and concerns. Ensures timely and quality service delivery to clients. Follows up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Creates work orders and assigns work orders to multiple technicians, subcontractors and vendors. Communicates work orders to technicians and assists management in resolving problems. Provides reports on open and closed work orders and checks status with the appropriate technician or vendor. Maintains files on work orders, proposals, and department files. Creates vendor files and checks accuracy on completed paperwork submitted by vendors. Trains vendors on work order and billing procedures. Processes invoices and ensures proper cost center coding. Assists with the inspections on the facility campus. Uses pc and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Assist with process and procedure training. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
