Job Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project

  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.

  • Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client.

  • Oversee the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative

Program Analysis and Development

  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and producers procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.

  • Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project

  • Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis

  • Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan for the buildings within the area

  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis
  • MBA desirable

Years of relevant experience

  • Minimum of 8 years industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant

Skills and knowledge

  • Strong organizational and management

  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting and building systems helpful

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office, and MS Share Point

  • Computer proficiency in CMMS Supervisory

  • Matrix manage both technical and administrative staff

  • Oversee multiple facilities of different functions

  • Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary

  • Experience in matrix management organization desirable

Summary: The Area Facility Operations Specialist shall assist the 99th Readiness Division (DIV(R)) with the execution and implementation of a multi-faceted, comprehensive engineering base operations and sustainment program to ensure the buildings and grounds are properly monitored and maintained to meet the functional, appearance, safety, security and environmental standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) * Facility inspections and checklists * Monitor physical and functional condition of building systems * Identify and report deficiencies * Planning, coordination and quality assurance requirements and specifications for service contract support of facility repairs * Coordinate and participate in occupational health and safety inspections * Prepare, review and submit energy efficiency and sustainable practices/recommendations * Promote energy conservation and awareness * Develop quality assurance program and implement * Provide quality assurance inspection and oversight for maintenance and repair and document as required * Monitor facility systems * Assist 99th DIV(R) DPW implement corrective actions, repair, and maintenance * Develop tasks and requirements list and order of cost magnitude for Sustainment, Revitalization, and Maintenance (SRM) projects * Ensure proper storage, usage, and disposal and associate documentation of hazardous materials and hazardous waste * Monitoring and inspect life safety, physical security and fire prevention requirements. Address deficiencies if required. * Respond to all information requests * Attend Project Review Boards as requested * Documentation, Checklists, and Reports.
