Job Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project

  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.

  • Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client.

  • Oversee the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative

Program Analysis and Development

  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and producers procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.

  • Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project

  • Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis

  • Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan for the buildings within the area

  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis
  • MBA desirable

Years of relevant experience

  • Minimum of 8 years industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant

Skills and knowledge

  • Strong organizational and management

  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting and building systems helpful

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office, and MS Share Point

  • Computer proficiency in CMMS Supervisory

  • Matrix manage both technical and administrative staff

  • Oversee multiple facilities of different functions

  • Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary

  • Experience in matrix management organization desirable

These tasks include corrective maintenance, the repair of equipment to its intended operating condition, and preventative maintenance to maintain optimal performance of equipment. The Maintenance Assistant will also assist in projects, which will include installing new equipment and making process changes to equipment or systems. Maintenance Assistants will perform tasks independently as they are deemed qualified and able to perform safely. Maintenance Assistant employees will be expected to: * Work cooperatively with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations in a non-jurisdictional, teamwork environment. * Strictly adhere to safety requirements and policies * Perform tasks in other functions, which they are capable of performing. * Support the process "as needed" – as determined by Management. * Function effectively in an unstructured environment. * Be flexible and willing to work different shift configurations as needed. * Accept change and continuous learning/improvement. * Handle stressful manufacturing environments with demanding production expectations. * Conduct business with a customer driven approach. Job Qualification Requirements: A minimum of 2 ½ years of recent verifiable experience in one of the following trades: Machine repair, Machining, Pipefitting, Sheet Metal, Welding, Millwright, HVAC, Vehicle repair, Plumbing, Electrical, OR a minimum of 2 years of applicable technical academic education and 1 year of verifiable experience in the aforementioned fields. Desired Skillset: * Experience trouble-shooting mechanical and electrical systems. * Demonstrated ability to identify and repair mechanical and electrical equipment defects. * Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings. * Able to use protective equipment, including safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, respiratory protection, hearing protection. * Able to work at heights and in confined/enclosed spaces. * Demonstrated understanding of process control principles and their application. * Computer literacy – knowledgeable/competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. * Proven ability to relate well in a people-oriented and team environment. * Demonstrated maturity and stability in a work environment.
