The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google's culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of relevant experience (e.g., facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management) or equivalent office management experience.

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing a Facilities/Operations team with a basic experience of mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, Lighting and BMS systems).

  • Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fluid environment and be responsive to customer requests/service issues.

  • Ability to think "outside the box" and bring creative, nonstandard/innovative solutions to the table.

  • Ability to manipulate data and see beyond the numbers, and be strategic/draw business conclusions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format, verbal presentations and proficient in the use of common business software programs. Familiarity with Google applications.

  • Provide a pivotal role in facility service operations throughout the region. Collaborate with local teams and partners to ensure an efficient, productive integration for things such as regional initiative, fiscal responsibilities, data analysis, etc.

  • Influence customers, clients and other internal organizations. Drive consensus and compromise when needed. Communicate program information and updates to Googlers using various forms of tools.

  • Support critical business functions, and find innovative ways to streamline/enhance service delivery, while keeping an eye on the bottom line.

  • Partner with outsourced facilities services vendors. Ensure best practices are being created by using/testing google products while also having general oversight of daily operations of office(s) in all areas of workplace services.

  • Influence peers on Real Estate and Workplace Services initiatives and work side by side to accomplish yearly objectives.

Key qualifications: * 4-8 years of facility management experience with an R&D component in the Bio or Hitech arena. * 4+ years of experience with Building Management Software (BMS) and ticketing system. * 4+ years of hands-on experience. Preferred qualifications: * Experienced knowledge of core building services and utilities. * Startup experience. * Experience setting up preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, parts inventory. * Budgetary and cost forecasting experience. * Ability to work extended hours and early shift when needed. * Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience.
