Summary:
Responsible for day to day maintenance and repairs of the hotel/casinos buildings, equipment and grounds. Protect the assets of the corporation. Ensures the smooth operation of the department. Ensure that the hotel/casino has a technically capable staff who overcome challenges.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership
Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement
Prioritize and delegate department work load and ensure that the utilization of the department resources are maximized
Coordinating with vendors/contractors on maintenance and repairs
Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat, and orderly at all times
Maintain a strict preventative maintenance program
Ensure the department has a technically-capable staff through recruitment and training.
Assess the training needs of the department and oversee the implementation and successful completion of training programs including safety and compliance related training
Facilitate mechanical, electrical and plumbing cross training with engineering team members
Consult with various departments to assess their needs to better serve the needs of both our internal and external customers
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
2-5 years facilities management experience
Demonstrated problem solving abilities
Ability to lead, motivate, organize, coordinate, and supervise work of skilled personnel
Working knowledge in the maintenance and operations of boilers, HVAC equipment, electrical power distribution, power generation, emergency electrical systems, and auxiliary machinery
Knowledge of safe working practices for the maintenance trades, including regulator requirements
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Computer skills with the ability to maneuver applications including Microsoft office including word, excel, and outlook
Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
At least 21 Years of Age
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
