What part will you play?

  • GAF Energy is seeking a Facilities Manager who will lead facility services at our manufacturing facility in Georgetown, TX.

  • You will report to the VP of Manufacturing and support a cross-functional team that designs and builds solar roofing products. You will join a highly focused team that thrives in a start-up, fast-paced, and multi-shift environment.

  • The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, thrive working in a fast-paced environment, and possess the ability to "change hats" quickly and often.

What will you do?

  • Manage and assist in facility capital improvement projects and installations.

  • Ensure the facility is compliant with State & Federal Safety Codes.

  • Establish and manage the facility maintenance program.

  • Manage a team consisting of Facility Maintenance Technicians and Administrative Front Desk Associates.

  • Monitor and update preventative maintenance records.

  • Schedule and supervise basic repairs and maintenance of site utilities. Perform those maintenance and repair activities if appropriate.

  • Contact and schedule contractors/vendors for performing maintenance, installations, and repair work as needed.

  • Ensure all contracts are reviewed on a regular basis and are bid out as required. Confirm invoices match contract pricing.

  • Ensure installation and maintenance work execution is compliant with statutory regulations.

  • Provide data and reports necessary for developing capital budgets for the facilities.

  • Create and update procedures, policies, SOPs, and workflows as needed to support facilities services.

  • Manage regular inspections on all utilities for the facility including electrical power, light, and water.

  • Coordinate health and safety routines (such as fire drills and inspections).

  • Coordinate hazardous waste material pick-up with vendor.

  • Drive facility projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

  • Respond to facility issues to resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What do we require from you?

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but is not required in lieu of equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing facilities management position.

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and other environmental regulations.

  • Relevant professional certification is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.

  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing expansions and start-ups is highly preferred.

  • Skilled in Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external functional teams verbally, in writing, and via presentations.

  • Impeccable attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and excellent time management skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and efficient.
