Facilities Manager - DGM

SUMMARY OF JOB

Coordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance and alternation of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Inspects plants and evaluates use of space and facilities

• Inspects plant and evaluates use of space and facilities

• Analyzes firm's HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting and other factors

• Maintain appearance of building facilities internal and external landscaping

• Plans, budgets and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, parts and materials, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and acquisitions

• Performs audits to support facility planning

• Develops long range plans, conceptual designs and capital outlay requirements and documentation for facility

• Formulates and coordinates program specifications, requirements for proposals and contract and associated document

• Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies

• Files appropriate annual reporting information for government agencies

• Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications

• Reviews real estate contracts for compliance with government specifications and suitability for occupancy

• Oversees the coordination of building space allocation, layout and communication services

• Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities repair and preventive maintenance

• Provide management with proper maintenance documentation and reporting information

• Oversee and monitors the established security function

• Ensures adherence to security regulations and procedures in the protection of organization property from fire, theft, sabotage or other situations which endanger the well being of employees or organization facilities

• Works closely with law enforcement agencies on investigations or irregularities connected with organization security

• Primary contact to ensure all employees is working in a safe working environment.

• Responsible for ensuring all environment, health and safety requirements are met, through partnering with the local SH&E Specialist

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Five (5) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree preferred. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems a plus

• Safety and Environmental training

• Strong communication skills

• Project management experience

• Background in manufacturing environment

• Budgeting and long range planning experience

• Knowledge of security functions
