JOB SUMMARY

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley is offering an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our dynamic, forward-thinking team. We are looking for a Facilities Manager who is ready to get their hands dirty to help our clubs with all facilities maintenance. We take pride in our highly skilled, diverse and committed workforce. Facilities Manager Full time position with Health benefits, Retirement plan and Vacation and Sick hours available.

Key Responsibilities

  • General repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of all the grounds on a daily basis to keep building grounds neat and attractive.

  • Create, Manage and implement a facilities ticket repair program.

  • Helps coordinate renovations of existing facilities and construction of new facilities

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

Our Clubs are open before and after school, during lunch, throughout the summer for the camp programs and all day during school vacations when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets.

  • Five years' experience with various levels of construction trade

  • Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and janitorial.

  • Travel required with a reliable vehicle able to transport multiple items.

  • Knowledge of the OSHA standards and precautions necessary.

  • Completed Criminal Record Clearance, and be fingerprinted.

  • Completion of BGC/CLV Driver Orientation.

The role is part of the Facilities Center of Excellence (COE) team within the Global Facilities Operations (GFO) Group. The COE is a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) that provides technical operations and maintenance expertise, technical reports, data analysis, metrics and project support. This position will focus on Global Pest Control, Facilities Cleaning, and all types of Maintenance, Operations and Facility Services across multiple Amgen sites. On a daily basis this individual will work with different staff at a variety of management levels within the organization. Responsibilities include: * Coordinating and facilitating network meetings * Provide subject matter expertise to the network * Managing and reporting the global network metrics at different levels in the organization * Sharing Best Practices, and support for problem solving * Own and manage multiple Standards and support Documents The position can also be located at other Amgen Sites in North America Basic Qualifications: Doctorate Degree OR Master's Degree and 2 years of Engineering/Facilities Management experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of Engineering/Facilities Management experience OR Associate's degree and 10 years of Engineering/Facilities Management experience OR High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Engineering/Facilities Management experience. Preferred Qualifications: * Facilities management knowledge - A good understanding of Facility Operations and Maintenance * Ability to lead a Global working team * Experience of industry Best Practices for Pest Control * Experience of Facilities Cleaning and facilities services * Experience with benchmarking * Ability to translate and communicate detailed data analysis to all levels of the organization and staff with varying levels of knowledge and experience * Computerized Maintenance Management System, experience with Maximo would be a plus * Communication Skills – Ability to effectively communicate with a varied client base including maintenance groups, service providers, project team members and management * Presentation Skills – Ability to perform presentations to small and large groups * Process Improvement Skills – Working knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence methods and best practices * Leadership, project management and team building skills - Ability to lead projects and initiatives * Team Player – Ability to work collaboratively on various project teams * Strong time management, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex tasks * 5 years' experience in engineering and/or facilities management in a corporate environment. * Ability to effectively influence cross-functionally and across multiple levels of the organization. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
