JOB SUMMARY:
Assists the Facilities Manager with managing SCBG buildings and infrastructure including visitor's center, education facility, staff offices, maintenance buildings, nursery complex, irrigations wells, and outdoor garden structures. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential- Facilities management assistant: Collaborates with Facilities Manager to develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for buildings and structures. Assists with performing and directing building maintenance repairs and renovations. Assists with serving as in-house liaison for contracted building maintenance and construction projects.
30% - Essential- Grounds Support: Assists with overseeing scheduled maintenance and repairs for all SCBG equipment and vehicle fleet. Assists with grounds projects as needed, including irrigation and fence maintenance. Maintain knowledge of and skill set to operate large equipment.
20% - Essential- Infrastructure Maintenance: Assists with maintenance and repairs or facilitates repairs for all infrastructure including HVAC, water, water, communication, gas and electrical lines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience- Maintenance experience related to the area of employment.
Licenses- Drivers License Class D normal

Education- High School or Equivalent

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Anticipated Salary Range ($31,700 - $42,300)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
