Job Summary: Provide direction and leadership to Housekeeping, Maintenance and Landscaping in order to meet the high standards of facility maintenance at Arden Hills. Work hands-on with the team to complete maintenance projects and services as needed in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; assist in a wide variety of maintenance activities; address immediate operational and/or safety concerns.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with skilled maintenance projects (e.g. transporting and/or securing materials, completing specific tasks, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner.

  • Ensure that tools and materials are maintained in good working order. Ensure proper inventory of tools, chemicals, and supplies, keeping costs down.

  • Ensure preventive maintenance procedures are performed on a scheduled basis.

  • Leads Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure a spotless environment for club members and guests.

  • Leads Landscaping Manager to ensure well maintained and beautifully landscaped grounds for club members and guests to enjoy.

  • Coordinate with skilled tradesmen for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.

  • Install or oversee installation of system component parts, office equipment and facility components (e.g. lighting, heating and ventilating systems, alarms, plumbing, security, electrical panels, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment.

  • Participate in meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

  • Perform or oversee a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.

  • Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.

  • Repair and oversee repairs of furniture and building system components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.

  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Skills Required:

  • Ability to operate equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc.

  • Commitment to safety practices, handling hazardous materials, and managing projects.

  • Understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to problem solve when identifying issues and selecting action plans.

  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities.

  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.

  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.

  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment.

  • Must be dependable, personable, and demonstrate self-sufficiency and initiative.

  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Trade school or completion of apprentice program preferred.

Minimum Experience required:

  • Previous leadership experience in maintenance, housekeeping and or landscaping required.
  • 5+ years of responsible experience in commercial building maintenance and repair.


  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

  • Must possess valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • All candidates will be subject to passing a pre-employment drug screen.

JOB SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients. Attends client meetings. Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work. Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports. Coordinates and manages moves, adds and change activities. Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Manages capital projects. Prepares capital project and operating budget and variance reports. Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures. Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding. Uses pc and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Provides process and procedure training. Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports. Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
