Facilities Maintenance Technician/Facilities Assistant

The Town of Jackson, Public Works Department, is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Facilities Maintenance Technician or Facilities Assistant, DOQ. Hiring range $44,500 - $64,760 annually, DOQ. This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional.

Primary duties include assisting the Facilities Manager in monitoring and performing repair and maintenance of all Town facilities including employee rental housing units related to electrical/mechanical systems, lighting, minor plumbing, carpentry, snow removal, etc. Please click here for the job description for Facilities Assistant.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

HS Diploma or equivalent for Facilities Maintenance Technician and for the Facilities Assistant - Bachelor's degree in facility management, construction management or related field preferred, 3 years experience in construction, building repair and maintenance or similar position, Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and computer/software skills, a tenacious work ethic, enthusiasm for becoming part of a positive team, and a desire for public service.
