The mission of this position is to contribute to the success of the Automotive Group (the Company) by

ensuring all Company buildings are in proper operating condition; all routine and priority work requests assigned are properly investigated and corrected; all assigned preventive maintenance work is completed in accordance within manufacturer recommendations; all assigned maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.


  • Effectively and Efficiently Assists with Managing Facilities Maintenance Activities

  • Successfully performs all facilities maintenance activities according to Manufacturer guidelines, Company standards, and industry best practices.

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains buildings, building infrastructure, and roofing.

  • Performs painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

  • Replaces electrical features such as, but not limited to, receptacles, wires, switches, and motors.

  • Repairs minor damage to walls using plaster or compound.

  • Repairs sinks, water coolers, toilets, damaged flooring, steps, and sidewalks.

  • Replaces damaged paneling, floor tiles, doors, and windows.

  • Performs general maintenance on equipment, machinery, gates, and fencing.

  • Confidentiality: Adheres to legal and Company confidentiality guidelines; distributes information only based upon business need.

  • Project Management Skills:
    Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Capable of effective planning and priority setting. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects (i.e., multi-tasker).

  • Computer Skills:
    Proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), CMMS, Compli, and ADP would be an asset.

  • Technical Skills:
    Ability to troubleshoot facilities-related infrastructure problems, operate maintenance test equipment and portable power tools, and identify problem/cause/solution.

  • Communication Skills:
    Requires good verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to speak and write clearly in English.

  • Resourcefulness: Develops and implements practical and creative methods, within established parameters, to improve work projects and/or department operations.

  • Issue Resolution/Decision-Making: Analyzes information, evaluates alternatives to resolve issues and makes sound, timely decisions.

  • Time Management: Organizes, plans, prioritizes work; uses effective follow-up procedures.

  • Need for Direction: Performs efficiently with the normal amount of direction for the position; displays the professional attitude and capabilities of a self-starter.

  • Attendance/Punctuality: Reports to work, and is ready to successfully perform work, as scheduled.


  • High School graduate or equivalent; three (3) years' general building experience to include some preventive maintenance and basic repair experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and electrical repair; post-secondary education and/or a Technical School certification preferred.

  • Ability to climb ladders and use man-lifts; read and interpret documents and drawings; write detailed repair reports.

  • Current California Driver License with clean Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.

Job Title: Senior Facilities Manager (Operations Manager) Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Senior Facilities Manager in Pasadena, CA. This person will be a hands-on Manager, with a strong technical background and a proven track record for working closely with customers in a partnering manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Profit loss accountability for multiple multimillion dollar facility service subcontracts and direct hire workforce (MEP Trades). * Meets with Customer Facility Managers and other Representatives to reconcile requirements and work status. Individual is the primary representative for the company during meetings with the customer(s) * Works closely with and directs Maintenance Superintendent and Trade Leads to ensure timely work completion. * Responsible for oversight and management of energy management and control systems as well as energy savings initiatives. * Ensures equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with technical specifications. * Coordinates with Site Quality Control to ensure all work is in compliance with technical specifications * Responsible for maintaining a good working environment. This includes conflict resolution, conducting personnel performance evaluations, and documenting resource needs. * Reviews departmental operational procedures and processes and implements changes as required streamlining operations, improving productivity and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained. * Champions site-wide safety program and strives to maintain an accident free environment while continuously promoting quality and customer service Qualifications: * Must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Electrical degree preferred * 10+ years' experience as a Senior Manager in the area of Facility/Public Works management * Minimum of 3 years' experience and knowledge in working with CMMS systems * Understanding of concepts and practical experience with Planning / Scheduling / Estimating, Preventive Maintenance program development, and Reliability Centered Maintenance Philosophy * Experience working on Federal Government Contracts is a plus We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
