The mission of this position is to contribute to the success of the Automotive Group (the Company) by
ensuring all Company buildings are in proper operating condition; all routine and priority work requests assigned are properly investigated and corrected; all assigned preventive maintenance work is completed in accordance within manufacturer recommendations; all assigned maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.
Effectively and Efficiently Assists with Managing Facilities Maintenance Activities
Successfully performs all facilities maintenance activities according to Manufacturer guidelines, Company standards, and industry best practices.
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains buildings, building infrastructure, and roofing.
Performs painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Replaces electrical features such as, but not limited to, receptacles, wires, switches, and motors.
Repairs minor damage to walls using plaster or compound.
Repairs sinks, water coolers, toilets, damaged flooring, steps, and sidewalks.
Replaces damaged paneling, floor tiles, doors, and windows.
Performs general maintenance on equipment, machinery, gates, and fencing.
Confidentiality: Adheres to legal and Company confidentiality guidelines; distributes information only based upon business need.
Project Management Skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Capable of effective planning and priority setting. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects (i.e., multi-tasker).
Proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), CMMS, Compli, and ADP would be an asset.
Ability to troubleshoot facilities-related infrastructure problems, operate maintenance test equipment and portable power tools, and identify problem/cause/solution.
Requires good verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to speak and write clearly in English.
Resourcefulness: Develops and implements practical and creative methods, within established parameters, to improve work projects and/or department operations.
Issue Resolution/Decision-Making: Analyzes information, evaluates alternatives to resolve issues and makes sound, timely decisions.
Time Management: Organizes, plans, prioritizes work; uses effective follow-up procedures.
Need for Direction: Performs efficiently with the normal amount of direction for the position; displays the professional attitude and capabilities of a self-starter.
Attendance/Punctuality: Reports to work, and is ready to successfully perform work, as scheduled.
High School graduate or equivalent; three (3) years' general building experience to include some preventive maintenance and basic repair experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and electrical repair; post-secondary education and/or a Technical School certification preferred.
Ability to climb ladders and use man-lifts; read and interpret documents and drawings; write detailed repair reports.
Current California Driver License with clean Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
