Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of the facility including but not limited to restrooms, break rooms, and offices.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains restrooms/break room/office cleanliness in facility.

  • Stocks cleaning supplies and notifies supervisor of current inventory levels.

  • Handles concentrated cleaning chemicals and responsible for working with and around cleaning chemicals.

  • Operates forklift to move items to trash compactor.

  • Maintains exterior facility items in all elements (working outdoors in the parking lot and between the ship-shack).

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 Year Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 0 Years Experience in Position

  • 0 Years Experience managing people/projects

  • experience may include a combination of work experience and education

  • Required to lift items up to 50 lbs throughout shift.

  • Required to perform physical cleaning, at times in warehouse environment / temperatures

  • Preferred Qualifications:

Join us and start doing your life's best work.SM The Maintenance Technician provides electrical/mechanical support in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other existing mechanical systems and/or equipment. Conduct Preventative/Corrective Maintenance on all automation equipment essential to the automated processes within the Mail Order Pharmacy. The Maintenance Technician is also an instrumental part of the planning team during the installation or modification of new or existing equipment. Primary Responsibilities: * Performs preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment, devices and components. * Troubleshoots, routinely inspect equipment and electro-pneumatic control as necessary on automated equipment. * Installs new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer systems. * Mechanical expertise to include, but not limited to precision alignment, tensioning fastener and belts, lubrication, lacing and tracking of belt system. * Performs data entry to generate work orders for repair, replacement parts, PM program, inventory data and machine history. * Optimizes equipment readiness through planned Preventative/Predictive/Corrective maintenance program. * Assists Supervisor, Team Lead and Operators in resolving process problem that affect the quality of the product. * Must possess a sense of urgency on troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime. Communicates to upper management on status of equipment downtime. * Maintain preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations etc. * Act as first responder for all operation needs relating to production and application issues. * Reduces machine down time, improve throughput and overall performance of machines. * Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders using CMMS system. * Performs machine ownership responsibilities on assigned equipment in an effort to exceed expectation of ensuring equipment is in proper working condition to meet safety, quality and productivity expectation. * Performs all assigned planned and unplanned maintenance to Mail Order Pharmacy automation equipment. * Records all completed work order and parts used within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). * Solves complex problems on own, proactively identify new solutions to problems. * Answers trouble calls throughout the day should any equipment breakdown or malfunction. * Work in tandem with IT, Engineering as necessary to solve difficult technical issues. * Maintains technical knowledge by attending scheduled educational workshops, reviewing technical publications. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Ability to use/operate power and hand tools. * Ability to work independently and/or part of a team. * Takes part in project teams spanning more than own function. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma/GED (or higher) * 3 years of experience in the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of an automated manufacturing or distribution line * 2 years of experience in the use of measuring and testing instruments * Must be able to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/pneumatic issues when they occur on the line including, but not limited to, installation, diagnostic, calibration, maintenance/repair of equipment and electronic devices * 2 years of experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) * Electrical: 3-phase 480 volts circuit, motor starter and controls * Mechanical: Align bearing and drive shafts, replace motors and gear boxes, troubleshoot belt drives, and motors * Pneumatic: Connect circuit, determine and correct failures of solenoids, cylinders, and switches * Sensor: Troubleshoot photo-eyes, proximity switches and other sensing devices * 2 years of experience with PLC, automation control, electrical and mechanical * Experience using Microsoft Office (Can create document in MS Word and create spreadsheets in MS Excel) * Must have the ability to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 5a-11p Mon-Fri and the ability to work night and week end as needed Preferred Qualifications: * 5 years with electromechanical maintenance experience within industrial, manufacturing, or automated fulfillment center industries * 2 years of experiences with CMMS. eMaint CMMS * Training in Mechanical or Electronic Systems such as: Automated Pharmacy System, Automation, TwinCat, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Robotics, and Conveying System * 2 years of experiences with maintenance troubleshooting using PLC tool and data sets * Experience with 3-phase 480 volts industrial electrical systems, electrical wiring, electrical conduit and motor control circuits * AC/DC motors and motor controls * Knowledge of equipment maintenance program, policies/procedures Soft Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills OptumRx is an empowering place for people with the flexibility to help create change.
