Job Summary

Under the direction of the Facilities, Maintenance and Operations Supervisor, perform or assist in assigned maintenance, custodial, repair work, and other related tasks, as required. 12 Month Position 40 Hours Per Week Medical Benefits Available MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO : 1. Assist in the repair, maintenance, improvement and appearance of the building and grounds (travel to other Resource Centers may be required). 2. Perform removal and replacement of electrical components, plumbing fixtures, light bulbs, door hardware, and HVAC units 3. Paint, both interior and exterior, and related preparation work such as repairing holes in walls 4. Minor vehicle maintenance, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and cleaning 5. Assist with minor construction projects, which may include repairing copper plumbing, replacing windows and performing cement work. 6. Maintain and repair irrigation system components 7. Maintain and repair building fixed assets, such as carpeting, flooring, wood work, etc. 8. Move, assemble and install furniture and accessories, including but not limited to desks, bookcases, filing cabinets, tables, built-ins, etc. 9. Maintain exterior grounds such as lawn, shrubbery, trees, and flower

Requirements / Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certification: - Current and valid Drivers License- High School diploma or equivalent- Basic understanding of the use of hand tools utilized in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades and cleaning equipment- One year experience in building maintenance and/or custodial work preferred, which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of this position- Experience in construction, home repair or a related industry

  • Proof of HS Graduation
  • Resume
