POSITION EXPECTATIONS

• Perform facility maintenance and modification at all Goodwill owned or leased facilities.

• Install and setup new retail store fixtures at existing locations and for new locations as needed.

• Monitor and/or perform recurring maintenance as needed.

• Document all repairs using approved methods.

• Maintain records of documentation of all repairs and/or scheduled maintenance.

• Performs carpentry, painting, basic electrical work, and minor plumbing repairs as necessary.

• Assist in any, and all safety repairs at any Goodwill location.

• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

• Assists in any other projects as determined by management.

• Ensure compliance with all Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN) policies provided in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, Goodwill Industries International standards, and safety and security regulations.

• Adhere to all GWSN Manuals, handbooks, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• Must have own tools, powered, and non-powered.

• Must have the ability to organize daily requests and priorities, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints.

• Must have the ability to troubleshoot all problem areas in maintenance and provide recommendations for repair.

• Must have the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and staff.

• Must have the ability to read and do basic math, and the ability to work independently.

• Must have own transportation to travel between Goodwill worksites, and to transport maintenance equipment, tools, supplies, etc.

• Must have the ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.

• Must understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• Must have a current, valid driver's license, as well as current, personal vehicle insurance.

• Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus.

• Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.

• Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility.

• No record or disclosure of criminal conviction within 7 years from date of application that indicates a tendency towards theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior.

• Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

To provide maintenance support of all Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN) locations in order to achieve preset sales and expense goals by keeping areas repaired and maintained based upon the core values of GWSN.

Education and Experience

• Must have at least three years or recent experience in maintenance.

Environmental Factors

Position is generally standing or walking. Some bending, stooping, kneeling, crawl and reach for extended periods of time is required when dealing with repairs, merchandise, donations, work equipment, and supplies. Approximately eighty percent of the duties are performed in a Goodwill store, office or warehouse that has swamp cooled or regulated temperatures. Twenty percent of the duties involve working outside of all site location with fewer or no environmental controls.
