Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Guidelines: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Experience: Three years of facilities maintenance experience from basic to journey level which typically includes electrical, plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, and painting tasks. License or Certificate: Possession of a valid California driver's license. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Forklift Certificate. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Hazardous Materials Awareness Training Card. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an Asbestos Awareness Training Certificate. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Program Certificate.
