Facilities Maintenance Support

Facilities Maintenance Technicians maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical, mechanical equipment and systems within the Tesla Gigafactory 1 facility. Facilities Maintenance Technicians utilize technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills, while working as a team with the entire Facilities Operations and Maintenance departments, performing general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.

• Conduct site-wide electrical inspections, interpreting diagrams and blueprints, and locating wiring discrepancies

• Perform unsupervised equipment repairs and similar tasks, including system adjustments and component replacements

• Work on facility projects, handling conduit installation, wire pulling, device connections, and utilizing lifts and ladders

• Identify, record, and request replacement parts via Tesla inventory program, ensuring timely completion of tasks

• Adhere to assigned duties for production maintenance, while displaying positive attitude and strong work ethics

• Utilize computer systems like Oracle, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and iMaint for task preparation and thorough record-keeping

• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining communication and feedback, reflecting the company's mission and goals

• Minimum 5+ years experience as an Industrial or Manufacturing Technician, handling tasks spanning multiple weeks

• Proficiency in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment; capable of reading wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings

• Experienced with low to high voltage (up to 480 VAC) and troubleshooting motor controls, drives, and electronic components

• Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics, work at high elevations (up to 80 ft.), and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all levels of management, and working effectively alone or with teams

• Preferred qualifications include previous manufacturing experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, and familiarity with CMMS database

• Availability for on-call after-hours work may be required; must demonstrate a high degree of initiative and attention to detail
