Description

POSITION HOURS ARE 6:00AM TO 3:00PM

Summary:Oversees a maintenance team in several facilities, while being responsible for the day-to-day upkeep in the facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing building maintenance and facility needs for multiple locations.

  • Handles emergency calls for repairs.

  • Orders material for maintenance requests as needed.

  • Has knowledge of basic electrical principles as they apply to such things as AC-DC circuitry and hardware, relays, switches and circuit breakers.

  • Sets work schedules for the facilities maintenance personnel.

  • Dedicated to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance department staff follow safety procedures established to avoid injuries to self and others such as lock out devices, protective clothing, and waste disposal techniques.

  • Ability to prepare progress reports/status updates and effectively communicate to operational leaders, written and oral.

  • Conduct facility walk through on a regular basis at all locations to identify areas where maintenance is required.

  • Completes records and reports as required.

  • Responsible for maintaining electrical equipment in good operating condition at all times.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the maintenance staff is providing excellence in customer service at all times to all internal and external customer.

  • Ensures all policies and procedures are enforced.

  • Plan and manage short term and long term projects.

  • Respond immediately to emergency maintenance request in the building.

  • Repair leaky faucets, toilets, dispensers and snake clogged plumbing when necessary.

  • Wall cleaning, painting, plaster and drywall when necessary.

  • Repair and replace doors and windows when necessary.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, and various hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance skills.

  • Position is full-time and on-site.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 5-8 employees in the maintenance field. Actively involved in the interviewing process for new Facilities employees.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred from four-year college or university

  • Four years related experience and/or training

  • Bilingual in Spanish is helpful, but not required

  • Experience with conveyor systems would be a plus

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Electrical Certification preferred

As site support specialist, you will manage facility operations at site while working onsite daily to provide direct support, conduct facility walkthroughs, schedule repairs and maintenance needs, move activities, and respond to all requests in a timely fashion. What you'll do: * Manages catering and snack program, including coordinating orders for daily meals as well as keeping snacks and drinks in stock. * Manages office supplies and consumables program, including taking inventory, ordering supplies, replenishing and managing conference spaces. * Completes / documents regularly scheduled facility maintenance walkthroughs, ensuring upkeep of space and cleanliness of kitchen and common areas. If needed, performs minor janitorial work including cleaning dishes and taking out trash. * Manages Argo Safety Team Program planning/executing evacuation drills and provides required training as needed. * Supports special events on-site, assisting with setup/teardown and additional components as requested. * Maintains up to date headcount and headcount projections, to support space planning initiatives, desk moves and additions. * Responsible for the management and ownership of all work tickets, ensuring that they are completed and closed in a timely fashion with excellent customer service and communication. * Serves as terminal IT point of contact providing basic IT help-desk support and troubleshooting * Manages all Shipping and Receiving operations including: * Logging incoming items on the receive list * Receiving, verifying and delivering packages to employees * Preparing shipments * Conducting inventory counts * Taggings and loggings tracked assets * Provides additional terminal coverage as needed for reception functions, including answering office phone, welcoming visitors, supporting the interview candidate experience. * Performs employee shuttle duties as needed. * Performs light physical security duties as needed, including checking locks, etc. What you'll need to succeed: * Minimum 2 years facilities and/or IT experience * Basic understanding of IT support services for Linux, Mac, and Windows environments * Exceptional, demonstrated customer service skills required * Willingness to be available after hours and in emergency situations * Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs / Google Docs preferred * Ability to lift up to 50lbs required Our Background: Argo AI was founded in late 2016 by industry experts with extensive experience building robotic systems for commercial applications.
