As part of VF Outdoor Appleton facilities team, this position is responsible for the general maintenance and building operations of the facility in partnership with the facilities manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective operation of facilities and equipment by scheduling and completing preventative maintenance, responding to urgent maintenance calls and participating in the creation of an emergency preparedness plan. Submit monthly preventative maintenance reports to facilities manager.

  • Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs as required such as clearing and salting sidewalks, changing light bulbs, replacing parts, fuses, switches, painting and other general repairs.

  • Responsible for prioritizing and answering facilities and maintenance work orders in a timely manner.

  • Serve as a member of the safety committee, completing monthly facilities/safety audits and daily walk throughs outdoors, around building, parking lot and grounds.

  • Responsible for answering after-hours emergencies, monitoring fire and burglary companies and securing site.

  • Serve as a liaison to outside contractors and vendors. Assist facilities manager with obtaining bids, creating PO's, and complying with mandated inspections and audits.

  • Assist with the coordination of office/workstation/furniture moves and conference room set up and tear down. Serve as a back up to the mail service operations and assist with training the security guards.

  • Perform other duties as needed and complete projects as required to support the facilities department goals and objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Associate's degree in business administration or related field preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel along with a proven ability to learn new software programs

  • Effective communication skills

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
