Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive maintenance procedures on bakery equipment, building, and HVAC maintenance to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability; food and associate safety, product quality, and do so in compliance with our environmental and social responsibilities.

They demonstrates maintenance skills to ensure effective equipment operation.Key

Job Responsibilities:
Works in accordance with defined safety regulations and procedures at all times (LOTO, Confined Spaces, Hazardous Material Handling procedures, etc.) Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, Good Manufacturing Practices, AIB and Internal Audits and Product Quality at all times Conducts Pre-Flight checkout of operating systems prior to start-up of the line Capable of repairing and troubleshooting most bakery equipment and systems. Participates in root cause problem solving Responsible for completing technical work assignments Capable of performance preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance with nomination technical assistance Capable of overhauling most process systems and equipment to ensure optimal equipment uptime. Provides direct support and works cooperatively with production and sanitation associates and quality system related to provide effective maintenance support Promotes a strong teamwork environment Ensures equipment is maintained, guarded and operated in accordance with defined safety regulations and procedures at all times Minimizes levels of scrap and rework Identifies potential cost savings and cost avoidance measures Understands levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues Other duties as assigned

Days/Shift for hire:Days: Mon - Sun; Thurs and Fri off

Shift: 3rd Preferred Specialized Skills and

2-3 years industrial maintenance experience.Welding, plumbing, and pipe fitting experience.Programmable Logic Control troubleshooting experience.Technical certification from AIB, or Technical Schools preferred.Electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting knowledge. Bakery equipment knowledge that includes ovens, proofers, coolers, dividers, moulders, depositors, sheeters, conveyors, depanners, and pan cleaners.

Minimum Qualifications:High School or Equivalent preferred but not required.Basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge.Must be capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Mental and visual ability to identify various parts and read mechanical and electrical drawings,instructions, gauges, micrometers, etc. Must be able to do basic mathcalculations to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.Capable of moving up and down building stairways in a multi-level plant to reach job assignments and perform the tasks required.Tasks require working from a ladder or elevated platform and in confined spaces such as ovens, proof box and bulk storage bins or tanks.Physical activities required are climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing,walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending, talking and hearing.Must be computer literate.Must have reading, writing, and verbal skills.Must have good math and science skills. This position is part of a team responsible for the Facilities' many and varied duties for all of AHCCCS owned and leased properties. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Assist with the oversight of maintenance, repair and improvements of owned and leased properties * Assist Motor Pool with the AHCCCS vehicle fleet operations * Assist in the oversight of the security contractor and works with the local emergency agencies, such as Law Enforcement and Fire Departments * Assist in any operational problems which may violate building safety and ensures that all work complies with national and local building codes, safety laws and rules KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): * Apply and interpret national and local laws and ordinances regulating building construction * Knowledge of the safety standards in the use of common and specialized tools, equipment and materials related to work * Reading of blueprints, sketches and structural components of building and related utilities services systems * Caring for facilities and maintaining grounds and plant life * Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment.
