Summary: Performs all aspects of general maintenance in the facility and on the grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Gets job instructions
Works from sketches and layout prints
Handles materials to and from work station
Performs diagnostic trouble shooting and makes necessary repairs
Moves, sets, erects, adjusts, dismantles, cleans, and replaces air condition, exhaust fans, air compressors
Repairs installs, maintains, tests and replaces electrical and electronic equipment such as rewiring or running new power lines
Cleaning oiling and calibrating instruments
Dismantling defective controls and parts and installing new or rebuild parts
Completes required reports on inspection tests
Reports material shortages
Replace, repair, install plumbing such as air lines, gas lines, stools, urinals, sinks, floor drains.
Observe all safety rules
Keeps work station in order

Ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath
Perform physical activities in high places that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
Ability to climb ladders, stairs and work in high places
Indoor/outdoor exposed to very hot, humid or cold temperatures for prolonged periods of time
Must maintain a neat appearance
Ability to lift an average of 50 lb with up to 100 lbs on occasion
Must have basic carpentry experience
Must have a strong electrical and HVAC background
MUST BE FLEXIBLE IN WORKING DIFFERENT SHIFTS AND BE ABLE TO WORK A WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EPA Certificate preferred
Electrical Journeyman preferred
HVAC Certificate preferred
Valid Driver's License. Cannot have more than two driving infractions within the last three years.
