The Facilities I&C supervisor will be responsible for managing the technicians executing instrumentation and controls scopes in support of Facilities Maintenance at Gigafactory Nevada. Leveraging industry experience and technical expertise, they will lead our I&C Technician Team as they perform maintenance, and installation jobs. In addition to ensuring efficient execution of work, they will be responsible for evolving Facilities Maintenance I&C programs and processes.
Plan, supervise, and coordinate departmental operations in Instrumentation and Controls, leading technicians in executing projects involving Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Wastewater Systems
Interface daily with controls, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineers, formulating policies, overseeing nightly operations, and managing material and human resources utilization
Provide training, mentoring, and career development, identifying and addressing training needs to enhance team capabilities
Address complex issues, serve as an advisor to subordinates, resolve technical problems, and act as an incident commander during facility excursions; manage on-shift escalations
Identify and solve complex problems, review information, develop options, and implement solutions, ensuring task execution (PM, SOP, PTP, etc.) completion
Communicate detailed work plans, serve as the first point of contact for shift-related issues, and review activity reports and performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement
Actively oversee and verify task execution, maintaining a proactive approach to addressing challenges and ensuring efficient shift operations
Associates degree and/or 6+ years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or battery manufacturing facilities
Proficiency in complex control systems, process test, and measurement devices, including familiarity with industrial communication protocols
Ability to comprehend intricate processes, prioritize work schedules, review technical data, P&ID drawings, and PFD diagrams
Experience in reviewing calibration completion documents, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per site protocols, and discerning audible alarms
Physical capability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours daily, lift at least 10-20 lbs., and work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage areas, industrial waste plants, and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals
Capability to obtain OSHA 30 certification within 3 months of hire and support 24x7 manufacturing environment, including shift duties
Able to work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and distribution locations, industrial waste plants, and handle materials containing hazardous chemicals while adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
