SAIC is seeking a top-notch Electrical Engineer to join our talented team at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise for design and construction projects at the Ft. Belvoir campus. To qualify, you must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
The ideal candidate will serve as the electrical lead within the facilities management organization and acts as the interface with 3rd party USG contracting representatives, design & construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support contractors, local utilities, and all other customers and stakeholders on relevant matters. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the five phases of the project life cycle to include requirements development, programming, design, construction, and closeout.
Other Key Responsibilities:
Act as liaison, reporting to & coordinating with USG representatives at multiple levels
Review and Comment on design documentation, operational procedures, and construction installations, ensuring projects meet the USG customer's standards
Coordinate with the Sites Facilities O&M support contractor on site operation and resiliency
Analyze power capacity and usage rates and trends
Assist in the evaluation of the electrical system related anomalies and perform root cause analysis
Independently review and provide response to electrical technical request for information (RFI), shop drawings, and construction submittals in support of construction efforts
Lead technically complex electrical engineering projects
Develop and generate specifications, ROMs, SOWs, and estimates for projects
Ensure the USG receives valid cost proposals

Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience in the IC, DoD or 7 years with commercial sector
Knowledge of facility operations & maintenance activities and procedures
Knowledge of federal, state and local building and safety codes
Familiarity with facility electrical systems
Engineer-in-Training
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in business or engineering
Experience with Data Centers
Experience with medium voltage
Licensed Professional Engineer (any State)
Experience with automation and controls through concept planning, configuration and development
