Define site LM Aero Facilities and Plant Engineering strategies and leases that support site/production readiness for the Palmdale population (over 3,000 employees) and programs. Tactical day to day integration and operations of Facilities and Plant Engineeringentire engineering life cycle of facilities(over 3Msf). Manages the planning, design, and oversight of the reconfiguration, maintenance(union environment), and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Integrate F&PE into the site business strategy and new business initiatives through interactions with functional organizations and program leadership. Execute site Facilities financial strategy including capital, overhead, rearrangement, Air Force, and program direct tasks. Plan, manage and execute the site PP&E Capital program via participation in the Capital Council as Palmdale's voting member.
Represent LM Aero to external community, stakeholders, customers, outside agencies (local, county or state officials). Ensure alignment of site operations strategy with Aero and Corporate strategy, provide counsel and direction to ADP executive leadership regarding Facilities initiatives, risk mitigation actions and internal programs. Manages local site risk and liability property, zoning, pollution/waste, as well as unliquidated rent liability with the AF. Ensure prioritization of site resources to minimize infrastructure and equipment risks to the population and programs.
Ensure facilities requirements are identified and addressed in new business opportunities. Define Facilities' resource allocations for managing the Facilities functional organizations across a site profile that has a diverse risk profile regarding size, scope and complexity. Advocate Facilities priorities and direction with Operations and ADP executive leadership.
Assesses needs for staffing, talent management, team development and mentoring. Government interaction for Aero relative to Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) lease initiativesAF Plant #42. 2019 YE Staffing = 139 employees (6 direct) along with accountability for over $100M of subcontract services(capital, overhead, rent credit and direct).
Appropriate Degree or equivalent with approximately 15+ years of progressively responsible positions.
Leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to lead leaders of a large multi-shift facilities/ops team.
Demonstrated understanding of the financial impacts of decisions and actions of the team.
Experience leading in a union environment.
