Blakehurst has an exciting opportunity available for a hospitality focused Facilities Director. This position is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all aspects of the physical plant; the hiring, training, and supervising of all plant personnel; the coordinating of life safety and security programs; the procuring of supplies, material, and equipment, and assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.
Essential Job Duties:
Establishes routine and preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and buildings.
Supervises the performance of landscaping, maintenance and security personnel through inspections and other quality assurance procedures.
Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines all plant personnel.
Maintains the operation of emergency medical and power generating equipment.
Coordinates and supervises painting and refurbishing efforts as needed.
Maintains the fire and life safety equipment in the Community.
Implements established emergency policies and procedures.
Coordinates work of the department with other departments.
Advises and consults with the Executive Director on maintenance and repair needs concerning the building, equipment, and grounds.
Inspects all equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety. Inspects building and grounds regularly for compliance with local codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
Delegates authority to staff for task details to facilitate smooth flow of materials and services.
Qualifications:
High School education required with thorough knowledge of plant operations and engineering.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
At least five years' experience in plant engineering and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry, or maintenance.
Three years supervisory experience preferred.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000, plus bonus potential
All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
