Facilities Customer Service Associate

Bluebird Self Storage is continuing to grow in Southern Maine! We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Associate to join our team in our Scarborough, ME location. The hours and days we are looking to fill are Monday through Friday 1pm-8pm.

Our Customer Service Associates (CSA) are the face of our organization, and therefore are expected to be team players with outstanding customer service skills. The CSA operates the front desk, performs routine administrative work, and assists with maintaining the cleanliness of our facility.

Your role here at Bluebird would entail:

·        Essential Functions:

·        Deliver superior customer service, to both new and existing customers, over the phone, in person, and in email correspondence

·        Possess a clear understanding of facility amenities and any ongoing discounts

·        Assist customers with determining their storage needs

·        Rent storage units to meet company goals and sell related storage merchandise

·        Monitor surveillance cameras to ensure facility is safe and secure

·        Perform routine facility walk-throughs, both interior and exterior throughout shift

·        Conduct walkthrough audits, ensuring empty units are reflected on the floorplan and have been vacated in the system while also identifying occupied units that should be vacant

·        Clean designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, floor machining, restroom cleaning, etc.)

·        Walking around on concrete floors, bending and crouching down all day

·        Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities

·        Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

·        Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

·        Make adjustments and minor repairs

·        Stock and maintain supply rooms

·        Follow all health and safety regulations

·        Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma or equivalent

·        Make have valid Driver’s License

·        Minimum 1-year experience in retail or sales

·        Experience within the self-storage industry preferred, but not required

·        Excellent customer service skills

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

·        Proficient computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office (Work, Excel and Outlook)

·        Must be a team player

·        Must be able to sit, bend, twist, lift (25 lbs.), walk, etc.

$19.00 per hour
