Position is a part time- full time position and the typical work week is Sunday - Thursday. Evening hours are rarely required but are based upon the need of the practice. Job Summary Maintain all aspects of Thera-Vet property both functionally and aesthetically.

Assist any departments with tasks that require special tools or special knowledge. Develop procedures such as repair/cleaning logs that emphasize maintenance plans for the long term to reduce the need for emergency repair whenever possible. All modifications to buildings or property either made or requested should go through the Facilities Coordinator, Essential Functions • Be responsible for own schedule, but work closely with Scheduling Coordinator to be sure that Staff Schedule calendar accurately reflects hours worked and scheduled.

Attend regular meetings and walkthroughs with Dr. Browne, Dana Browne, or Tanya Trevett as required. • This position requires an especially high level of communication and coordination with all other areas of the company. Certain tasks must not take place during working hours, certain tasks may have to be delegated to Lodge Assistants or Clinic Assistants if there is another priority for the Facility Coordinator.

This will require a very good relationship with both Therapy and Boarding. Likewise, the Facility Coordinator is expected to reciprocate with helping out on Task Lists for cleaning or other chores if other areas are very busy and Facilities has time. It is critical to plan maintenance chores 1, 2, or even 3 weeks in the future, and it may be necessary to change hours seasonally, or just occasionally. • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.

Primary Areas of Responsibility • Supervise quality, maintenance, inspections & cleanliness of equipment • Therapy Equipment: extremely high priority o Develop and maintain special expertise in maintaining all therapy equipment where up-time is critical. Schedule or bring in outside experts when required to not void warranties, or as needed, but generally maintain information files on all equipment, documenting regular cleaning, and special issues, etc. Accept phone calls during business hours, (or delegate to Dana when unavailable) to help with any problems, and come in if no other remedy will suffice – when the equipment is down, the company is down.

With Dana, develop precise guidelines for what Technicians and Assistants should know about the equipment and assist with training. Track task lists that deal with any equipment cleaning and help out with any tasks as needed. • Projects/repairs that improve safety of the facility for patients, clients, and staff. Must work very closely with OSHA Coordinator, and Lodge Manager to respond to their requests and suggestions.

Must also be proactive in suggesting improvements. • Grounds & Property (Webster Only) o Mowing lawns, pastures and trails, weeding, planting, trimming, etc. o Plowing (with company truck), shoveling, salting as needed. o Repairs to fencing, outsides of buildings, lighting, doors, screens, windows o Interior spaces, primarily special projects such as painting, hanging new decorations, shelving, o Also assist with laying new flooring, etc. o Be especially concerned with public areas, and storage areas being well organized and safe o Seasonal projects – maintain fish pond, leaf and decorative grasses removal, gravel parking lot repair, on-going fence staining, chop and stack firewood, etc o Suggest improvements, and work especially closely with Dr Browne to accommodate her vision for the practice. • Write and maintain appropriate protocols. Subject to approval. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • Maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License • Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.(Can train) Able to learn other platforms as needed • Ability to work with little to no supervision • Experience with hand and power tools, must be proficient in repair and maintenance work of many varieties, and be comfortable with yard equipment, chain saw, snow plow operation, etc. • Must be dependable and punctual. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. • Interpersonal skills • Ability to lift to 50 pounds HAZARDS Exposure to animals. Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Exposure to mechanical hazards. Exposure to elements and weather. Exposure to loud noises.
